Repairs seem to be done here a good distance away from the Boxen. I don't think they're worried about the elements, but couldn't they just be for parking a) because of theft (not uncommon) and b) so they don't take up space reserved for (un)loading?
But this seems to confirm what you just said, although it specifies the box by "Reparatur/Unterhalt-":
