English to Arabic Art/Literary proverb

This might actually be a back-translation/interpretation question, and the source language is definitely not English. It concerns the Spanish proverb supposedly of Arab origin that says "siéntate a la puerta de tu tienda y verلs pasar el cadلver de tu enemigo". (Sit down at the door to your tent and you will see your enemy's corpse go by.)

I have looked in internet references for the original in Arabic, or for some interpretation of what it actually refers to originally, but the saying does not appear to be documented. Any explanation will be appreciated.
