Spanish to English Medical Medical: Health Care Oncology/Traumatology
Buenas noches,

No es estoy del todo de mi intento: heterogeneous and mixed signals in fat suppressed T2-weighted sequences and with a marked reinforcement after the administration of endovenous contrast.

Desde ya muchas gracias.

Joseph Tein Jul 23, 2017:
enhancement Thanks, Tom for confirming that meaning ...I just wasn't quite sure about it.
Thomas Walker Jul 23, 2017:
Enhancement? One meaning of "refuerzo" is enhancement, & I think that might work here, saying something like '[the MRI image of] the mass is strongly enhanced after the administration of the intravenous contrast agent,' presumably gadolinium.
A Bing search for +imaging +contrast +enhancement returns about 2.6 million results, many of which seem to fit in with this interpretation.

Muchas gracias.

Hi Muriel I think the asker is getting the weighted part from this question she asked in June: http://www.proz.com/kudoz/spanish_to_english/medical_health_...
Joseph Tein Jul 20, 2017:

Muriel Vasconcellos Jul 20, 2017:
The rest of your translation I would say: 'mixed heterogeneous mass at the T2 sequence with fat saturation' (1) the adjectives in the beginning are referring to the mass (not 'signals'); (2) the T2 sequence is a location; (3) the text says 'saturation', not 'suppression'; (4) I don't see any reference to 'weighted'.

neutral Joseph Tein : Hi Muriel. I'm just not sure about "uptake" ... it might be "enhancement," which sounds more like a refuerzo. No time to check further.
