I cant seem to find any google hits in English for "Gesture approach", or "gestural approach/method". Was wondering about "manipulation method", but feel uncertain if this is quite the same thing.

Gestuelle is also used as a noun and does involve manipulation techniques. Maybe someone will think of a better solution.

"Manipulative" is correct but "manipulative approach" is ambiguous in English. I believe that "approche" here is best replaced with "technique".
