Si les gaines sont supprimées, les trémies de passage sont rebouchées par des tôles larmées.
Found "bulb plate" in GDT, but that doesn't seem to be used much.

I really can't see holes being plugged with bulb plate which, AFAIC, is aka plat à boudin, i.e. a steel strip with a round bulb along one edge, i.e. in cross section it looks like a keyhole.
<<Bulb Plate ----A narrow plate reinforced on one edge>>
From my notes:
Tôle larmé Chequer plate (with oval protrusions)
<<La tôle larmée est utilisée pour donner une adhérence maximale aux sols et aux marches et créer ainsi une sécurité optimale.>>

<< Sols industriels (caillebotis/tôle larmée)>>
chequerplate, checkerplate – Pressed steel tread plate for industrial flooring.
tread plate, chequerplate Steel or aluminium sheeting with rows of short raised strips, used for industrial stairs, duct covers, etc.
Don't look now, but I think Eurodicautom's and GDT's incestuous petticoats are showing.
