In assessing the volume and value of transactions conducted through our commerce platform, we consider CPV, which includes card payment volumes processed through our commerce platform (i.e., through card payments and iZettle Invoice), as well as the related TAKE RATE, which is our transaction-based revenue as a percentage of CPV and demonstrates the average transaction fee that we achieve from merchants.
Take rates are typically higher in Latin America, due to local purchase patterns of merchants’ customers buying on credit and paying in instalments.
This results in higher transaction fees and higher take rates; however, with corresponding higher interchange fees and card schemes that we, in turn, pay to acquiring banks.
