French term

chronos des rapports d'activités

Non-PRO French to English Bus/Financial International Org/Dev/Coop logical framework
I'm translating a logical framework for a 5-year international development project. Each objective has associated activities and indicators of achievement. The document also specifies where data on each indicator should be stored (for example, in a shared drive, online platform, annual reports). One of the storage spaces given is:

Chronos des rapports d'activités (another one is Chronos comptables)

I get the general gist (a series of something filed in chronological order) but would appreciate thoughts on a succinct translation.
Change log

Apr 17, 2018 17:12: Yolanda Broad changed "Term asked" from "chronos des rapports d\\\'activités" to "chronos des rapports d\'activités "

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

PRO (1): Sandra & Kenneth Grossman

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Two suggestions One suggestion I can offer is "Activity Reports (listed in chronological order)". It isn't very succinct, I admit. "Chronos comptables" would then be "Financial reports (listed in chronological order)". A more succinct alternative might be "Complete series of activity reports".

@ Asker I think you'll find it is just short for 'chronologies' cf. common use of 'carto(graphie)' etc.

You might be able to use something like 'journal' or 'log' — anything that suggests some kind of 'history'.
Allison Neill-Rabaux (asker) Apr 17, 2018:
Thanks Phil. A French friend of mine says un chrono is just another word for un fichier (rangé par ordre chronologique). Helps me understand the sense but I'm still thinking of the best translation!

"Chronos comptables" gets a few hits, though I'm not clear what it means. I'd guess timeline/timings/schedule/calendar, but it would be nice to have proof. Larousse says chronometers.
