Acumulación vs. Presión vendedora I basically agree with enrfer. Nonetheless I would not go for "presión vendedora", particularly here, for I feel it does not fit well within the specific context. I think that the irrational exuberance conveys the idea of everyone wanting to get this currency not for the specific reason of actually using it in some transaction but just for having it -just-in-case. Thus, there is a financial overhang (una acumulación financiera; no porque uno sea rico sino porque una gran cantidad de "inversores" acumulan moneda que no van a gastar inmediatamente, lo que produce el efecto de acumulación (monetaria, financiera) y un enlentecimiento económico (enlentecimiento del progreso, del desarrollo...).

As Chema writes, overrhang typically means, in the financial markets, that people hold too much of an asset and would like to sell, resulting in selling pressure. So selling pressure, as I translated it into, is the result of the financial overhang.
Financial accumulation means, as I interpret it, that you are accumulating capital, i.e. getting richer.

The translation of financial overhang is as I said hard to make. Debt overhang means that the consumers or business hold too much debt, and can not increase their debt. Stock overhang is as Chema said that one holds more stock that one desires, and will sell whenever one gets the occasion.

A final interpretation is that the cryptocurrencies are issuing too much new currency, creating a form of dilution. That would compare to a company granting huge amount of options to their employees, creating an overhang.

I believe that selling pressure is adequate translation, but there is definitely room for improvement here.
