...convinced of (assured, began to realize) my own strength and potential (capabilities)

I would avoid using "believe or trust", "поверила" in here has the meaning of "убедился, чувствовал уверенность" и т.д. feel sure, convinced, assured, began to realize
Even, I would avoid using strength in this context,

Furthermore, I became more confident and began to realize what I am able to
Furthermore, I became more confident and was convinced of my strength and potentials (capabilities).
Furthermore, I began to feel more confident and became assured in everything I do and realized what I am able to.

Or if more scientific,
then self-efficacy should be used.
Furthermore, I began to express more confidence and built (up) self-efficacy realizing my full potential.

agree Chris Jarrett : Yes, something like: "Furthermore, I became more confident and came to believe in my own strengths and capabilities" would be the most natural and faithful translation.

I've begun to believe that I'm strong and capable

I like to believe that I'm strong and capable in ways that I'm incredibly weak and incapable. The mantra is helpful and practical but it is no savior.
