don't forget this this is about "la vida en el centro", so I think something with "downtown" is a good way to go in English in this case

OPTION 2:

FILLS/CONSUMES YOU WITH ITS ENERGY

Thank you, Marie.
neutral Gareth Rhys-Jones López : The idea is that the lively city centre will make you feel full of life. That's the sense of "contagia". But I can't think of something suitable for this situation.

You might be right, but, as you mention yourself, it is hard to come up with a close equivalent...possibly "fills/consumes you with its energy"
agree franglish : life in the city centre/center has a contagiuos/iresistible appeal

alternative: vibrancy is magnetic

another option

I think "vibrancy" is used more often in tourism circles to describe cities than "liveliness"

for the full sentence

La vida en el centro de la ciudad contagia y es un hervidero de emociones
The city centre's vibrancy/liveliness is magnetic and has everyone buzzing with excitement

I think "magnetic" gets the idea across of drawing people in and infusing them with the city's energy

I think you don't need centre/center here either and that city is enough?

The city's vibrancy/liveliness acts as a magnet and has everyone buzzing with excitement
