Apele de zacamant.
Intotdeauna zac. de petrol sau gaze sunt insotite de ape cu o mineralizare pronuntata cunoscute sub denumirea de ape de zacamant. Aceste ape sunt considerate fie primare, atunci cand au luat nastere concomitent cu formarea hidrocarburilor, fie secundare cand au suferit modificari ale chimismului initial prin amestec cu alte ape sau prin actiunea reducatoare a hidrocarburilor si a bacteriilor.

Originea si geneza apelor de zacamant,
Caracterizarea facuta de Mrazec in 1922 cum ca apele de zacamant sunt primare si secundare, constituie si o baza pt. studiul originii si genezei acestor ape. Apele primare au origini exclusiv marine. In cursul sedimentarii o parte din apa acestor bazine a fost retinuta in namolurile care se depuneau odata cu substanta organica, fiind izolata si sustrasa circulatiei. Mrazec denumeste aceste ape ca ape fosile.
