Portuguese term

atestadinho

Portuguese to English Other General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters slang (Brazil)
Brazilian Portuguese.
This from an employee complaint to HR quoting a colleague. No punctuation or further context. What's the best way to translate atestadinho here. I know atestado is a certificate or credential but here I'm not sure.
Thanks

"ba irmãozinho pensa en dia pank fudido com esses homens aqui se safou andrézinho te deu uma de bom te deu um atestadinho bem de boa estou fudido e mal pago caminhando com esses locos aí  andando com este xxx"

Brazilian streets Just a bit more of information about Brazilian "peculiarities", let's say: in large cities, one can easily buy fake documents, like fake IDs, driver's licenses, and also sick notes:

Unfortunately this is common.
Depending on the moral values of your characters, I believe you should at least consider this possibility.

Simona, honestly I can't think of other possibilities... besides, it's Brazil. These things are sold on the street (particularly in large cities). Maybe he got one for him :)

I don't think an atestado medico is meant here. Andrezinho, a colleague, gave the atestadinho so I think it's maybe more like a reference or something.

doctor's note

https://www.thebalancecareers.com/doctor-excuses-for-missing...

Do you need a doctor's note for missing work? When you have an injury or illness that requires you to miss work, there are times when you will need to provide an excuse from your doctor. Your company might require that your doctor’s note be kept on file.

Whether or not you need a note from a doctor depends on your company and your particular situation. If you know ahead of time that you're going to miss work, you may need to notify your employer in advance. Otherwise, you may need to provide a doctor's note to verify that you were legitimately ill and unable to come to work.

sick day

Most likely a reference to "atestado médico", implying that he managed to get an "atestado" and took a sick day.

phony sick leave

"To take a day of phony sick leave is to pretend that you're ill and cannot go to work. When you're actually perfectly healthy."
