Circumspect to your observation
I have some issues with finding the meaning of the following sentence:
"Negatory to orders to relinquish locality. Circumspect to your observation we'll proceed to the interior of the dwelling with your accompaniment."
This is a movie scene from Charlie's Angels, where Angels under cover are trying to enter some building wrapped with police tape, guarded by a very amateur policeman. This is the dialogue that one of them speaks before entering the building.
I don't have idea what "circumspect to your observation" would mean in that context.
At the moment, I figured out that "Negatory to orders to relinquish locality" could mean "Odmawiamy wykonania polecenia", and the second part of second sentence: "wkroczymy do zabezpieczonego obiektu w twojej asyście."
Please correct me if I'm wrong. I would be very grateful for any help with this!

| To był dokładnie mój pierwszy tok myślenia i wpadłem na identyczne zdanie. :) Ale potem zacząłem kombinować. Poczekam z wybraniem odpowiedzi. Może ktoś napisze coś, na co nie wpadliśmy. Tak czy inaczej, dzięki! |
| Zgadza się, coś tam pogadał, ale - jak widać - Aniołek się wkurzyła i narzuciła dość mocno formalny i oficjalny ton, zwracając się do niego "Negatory to orders...", przy okazji strojąc sobie z niego żarty, więc trzeba to jakoś odnieść, a "Dobra..." sugeruje nieformalny dialog. Więc teraz się zastanawiam, co się lepiej sprawdzi: "Będziemy ostrożne..." (bez "dobra"), czy iść już zupełnie literalnie i zacząć zdanie tak jak w tytule odpowiedzi. :) |
