Let's figure out how much of their data warehouse compute resource and licensing costs are focused on ETL.
The industry average is 30%.
If they don't know, they can go look at their performance logs and see overnight how much of their compute resources are actually being used when they're doing their ETL process.
We discover only 70% of their investment is being spent on driving insights.
But how much is cold?
If they don't know, they can go look at their reporting tools.
That will show how often and which tables are getting hit.
Your customer may or may not be surprised to know that if they were to look into it, the ones that get hit the most are on the left and the ones that get hit the least are on the right.
