: I think you've misunderstood the question - Wendy is not asking about "seguro saldado". And "préstamo" would make sense only if the policy were used to secure a loan.

I never answered the saldado part and I - as a law clerk having en/in dorsed over clients' life policies as collateral for a cash loan - clearly spell out an endowment-type mortgage in the other, related answer.

Discussion
And are you sure it's not "efect. seguro" and "prést. saldado"? That could be "cover effective" and "loan repaid". Is there a loan involved?
