Spanish term

Testigos termofusibles

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Transport / Transportation / Shipping Transportation of liquefied natural gas
I'm translating safety information regarding tanker trucks used for transporting liquefied natural gas and one of the instructions is the following:

Cerciórese que todas las ruedas del camión cisterna disponen de testigos termofusibles para comprobar el correcto apriete de las tuercas de las ruedas y el posible calentamiento de las mismas.

I cannot figure out what a "testigo termofusible" could be. I get zero hits when I search for that specific term and the only things that seem to keep coming up are related to hot-melt adhesive, which doesn't make a lot of sense in the context.

Any ideas?

Thermo fuse plugs Thermo fuse plugs or just fuse plugs.
It's the same for airplanes.

Many thanks Althea (and everyone else), I think you were spot on with the wheel nut indicator thingy. I found another site with a similar product, and it seems to make the most sense - https://checkpoint-safety.com/product/checkpoint.p.aspx. I went with "wheel nut temperature indicator" with an additional explanation of its purpose.

The nearest I can find are these

There are other systems such as the ones described in this European Defence Agency info (page 295) on landing gear for military aircraft but I don't think it's quite the thing you're looking for

@Asker Not sure of the exact term you would use, but I think it's related to changes in torque of the wheel nuts which can cause the wheels to overheat. For an explanation see

Termofusibles - thermal switch - see slide 18 of https://slideplayer.es/slide/12209328/

So, I'm guessing it's some sort of safety mechanism whereby a thermal switch will cause a warning light to show if the wheel gets too hot - possibly due to the incorrect torque on the wheel nuts.

los testigos de la instrumentación son pictogramas codificados por colores que se iluminan para evitar que rompamos el coche o nos pongamos en peligro.
