It is quite common to translate status post as had or having had, e.g. 50-year-old patient having had exploratory laparotomy....
Status post or S/P refers to a procedure or event, a patient had experienced, underwent, undertook, endured or has sustained prior to the current time. It is most often used to reference past surgeries.
