English term

U-turn/J-turn

English to French Tech/Engineering Computers (general) Printing system

Merci !

@Daryo Right, this part of the content is not intuitive to me and even though I get the concept, I have no idea of the French version for those terms.
Daryo Mar 23, 2021:
"Straight-thru" option on some printer means that whatever your are printing on (paper / cardboard / metal foil / textile ...) goes "Straight-thru" without any bending.

U-turn/J-turn are two variants of how paper gets routed through the printer before being printed on the other side. For someone specialised in printer design the difference is obvious, otherwise finding any explanation is not easy.
Séverine torralba (asker) Mar 23, 2021:
It's for a scanner And there is also "Straight-thru" between the other two options (turns)

Small on size, big on performance
Incorporating a clever "J-Turn" Paper Path, it’s a small unit that produces big results on every job, regardless of document volume, size or weight.

bord long/bord court

disagree Daryo : do you have any reference in EN showing the difference between a "U-turn" and a "J-turn" paper path in a printer or a scanner? NOTHING shows that these 2 paper paths are in fact of the "U-turn" and of the "J-turn" types.
