agree Anthony Clare-Flagg : Was considering 'inviolability', but 'sanctity' is better since it conveys the idea of something set apart as special and exalted, which suits the context (res judicata) better.

neutral AllegroTrans : Res judicata is a fact, or at least a concept. This is, as Neil says, about its inviolability, i.e. once established there's no way it can be impeached
