This is from an interview with an artist from Uruguay talking about a show he sent to support the then.recent Nicaraguan REvolution in 1985. I understand the literally meaning "well packed" or "well wrapped" but his emphatic use makes me wonder if he is referring to the safety of the works? To an appealing display?

Or "look after them". I think it's as simple as that. He wants them to be careful, perhaps because there's a revolution in progress.

Just the construction Phil and boils down to the same thing I agree. The "por favor" lends itself more to your phrasing.
