French term (edited):
l'audience /de juge/ rapporteur
Selected
Directions Hearing /before a Master/
la mise en état : previously Pre-Trial Review in the County Court Summons for Directions in the High Court before a MAster - now Judge - in Chambers.
Ties up with the other 'avis de fixation' whilst dodging my last ProZ return date or scheduling notice answer.
Ties up with the other 'avis de fixation' whilst dodging my last ProZ return date or scheduling notice answer.
Example sentence:
Le "Juge rapporteur" est au Tribunal de commerce ce qu'est, devant le Tribunal judiciaire, le Juge de la mise en état. Le juge rapporteur peut ordonner, même d'office, toute mesure d'instruction.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer.
Comment: "Bridge has "rapporteur" as "judge who directs preparations for trial".
Thanks very much to all!

the hearing before the reporting judge
rapporteur public has come up a couple of times. Check out the discussion here maybe: https://www.proz.com/kudoz/french-to-english/law-general/547...

: Seems correct, but asfaik there is no "special" hearing before the reporting judge, so presumably it's the final hearing, albeit the RJ will prepare his/her report and the final judgment will be delivered later.

Rapporteur public
It might be some kind of hearing in a tribunal administrative

: i agree with the translation 'hearing before the reporting judge' but a reporting judge is not a 'rapporteur public' - this is presumably the commercial court not the conseil d'état
