Aspirate the lead solution a sufficient number of times to establish that the absorbance reading is not drifting.

If the value indicates a trend or drift, determine the cause, correct it, repeat the calibration procedure, and recheck the readings of the test solution(s).

A group comprised of as many as four test solutions, together with the reagent blank solution, may be aspirated before applying this test for drift.
