Conformazione/ conformata is about configuration or structure

If you want to stay more literal, there are a few references to "aortic valve with normal configuration/ structure". You'll also find some, but not many, instances of "normally configured/structured aortic valve"

You could probably avoid the repetition by saying "with normal tricuspid configuration" which is what the text is saying.

This is obvious but interesting:

Mine were observations not insults One possibility would be "morphologically normal tricuspid valve" - that would remove the redundancy that creeps in with the repeated use of "normal" in English. Although a literal translation would be fine, because the first part refers to the valve in its entirety, the second part to the fact that it has three leaflets (some aortic valves have two).
"These patients all had severe tricuspid regurgitation and a morphologically normal tricuspid valve apparatus with evidence of tricuspid valve leaflet damage by the PPM or ICD leads at the time of operation."

The redundancy only bothers me, because it makes me wonder whether "normal morphology" is a correct interpretation or not. There is no need to be insulting.

This is not the Nobel Prize for literature A medical text does not have to be worthy of a Nobel or a Pulitzer - the important thing is that it is accurate. There are times when the Italian has more ways of expressing a concept than the English does. Of course if you have a basic grasp of anatomy you can rewrite the phrase, if its redundancy bothers you that much.

I'm also curious about how this would fit into the sentence.. "aortic valve with normal morphology and regular tricuspid morphology" sounds a bit redundant (not that that can't happen, but it does bug me).

I do get over a thousand hits for "normal aortic valve diameter", but haven't found anything that specifically links that to "normoconformata"
