text about insurance appraisal
This part of the text relates to determining a cost for the various elements of an underground/metro system - the "determination d'un ratio specifique pour chaque type de voie". It states that "on distingue deux types de voies: voie Fer et voie Pneu". I can only find translations such as "Rail track" and "Tire or Tyre track" but this does not seem convincing. Can anyone help please?

Selected
conventional and tyred track
Most trains run on conventional steel railway tracks, although some use rubber tires such as the Montreal Metro.

Thanks. Tyres are usually made of rubber, so I think that word can be omitted, as it is in the French.

railway tracks and rubber-tyred tracks
A rubber-tyred metro or rubber-tired metro is a form of rapid transit system that uses a mix of road and rail technology. The vehicles have wheels with rubber tires that run on rolling pads inside guide bars for traction, as well as traditional railway steel wheels with deep flanges on steel tracks for guidance through conventional switches as well as guidance in case a tyre fails. Most rubber-tyred trains are purpose-built and designed for the system on which they operate. Guided buses are sometimes referred to as 'trams on tyres', and compared to rubber-tyred metros.[1]

The track on a railway or railroad, also known as the permanent way, is the structure consisting of the rails, fasteners, railroad ties (sleepers, British English) and ballast (or slab track), plus the underlying subgrade. It enables trains to move by providing a dependable surface for their wheels to roll upon. For clarity it is often referred to as railway track (British English and UIC terminology) or railroad track (predominantly in the United States).
