Danish term

deltagerforløb

Danish to English Social Sciences Psychology
This refers to the course of psychiatric treatment that a person receives from a municipality mental health recovery centre via group therapy sessions.
It is used extensively in my text alongside variations such as pakkeforløb and behandlingsforløb. Course and process are the best I can come up with, but both feel a little unclear in certain phrasings.

Context:
Kvantitativt omkostningsestimat pr. gennemført deltagerforløb (in a table on financial costs)

Any suggestions -- or should I just resign myself to course/process?

Discussion

Michael Purvis (asker) Sep 17, 2021:
I should have mentioned ... I'm keen to avoid anything that suggests a single course such as a programme or a course of study ... the text emphasises that patients undergo therapy for as long as needed until they are ready to stop and can return at any time ... this all counts as one "forløb" - it is the total experience of the patient with the service offering, from their first session to their last.

participant pathway

pathway is used for forløb in regards to cancer.
Peer comment(s):

agree Adrian MM. : pathway vs. trial or trajectory also works well with individual, group, package and an 'open pathway process' > åben forløbsproces’ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clinical_pathway

Danish term (edited): pr. deltagerforløb

per participant that completes the programme

We could perhaps call the whole 'forløb' a programme. Or treatment.

therapeutic programme

Please see links below.
Example sentence:

After visiting a wide range of therapeutic programs, families can rely on an IECA member to guide them through the critical process of finding the right program for their child.

This therapeutic program usually includes 6 to 10 children or adolescents per home, and may be linked with a day treatment program or specialized educational program.
