Наименование такой операции «грубой», как уже отмечалось выше, не может быть рекомендовано, так как вносит понятие о возможности недостаточно четкой работы в этой стадии флотации, между тем именно от правильного проведения этой операции в значительной степени зависит легкость разделения в остальных стадиях флотации.
