Spanish term

veladas más canallas

Spanish to English Other Slang Spanish (Spain) slang term
Good afternoon! Here's a phrase introducing a new series of restaurant shows:

Las VELADAS MÁS CANALLAS de la capital están en XXXXX Restaurante & Bar

XXXXX Shows

Diversión asegurada con un espectáculo único...

So, would "canalla" be the same as "bacán", in other words, a more intense form of "exciting"?

As always, a thousand thanks!

Yes! Very good choices too! :)

I think your last two suggestions are probably on the right lines.
Julie Thompson (asker) Nov 4, 2021:
options Thanks, Ms. Rodrigues. Other options: "flashiest", "titillating", "intoxicating", "rip-roaring", "wildest"?

canallas - arousing

suggestion. I agree with what you said about "more than exciting", I think arousing would be a good term.
Note from asker:
Thanks, Ms. Rodrigues. What about "the flashiest nights"?
I'll bear that in mind...:-)

neutral philgoddard : Not unless it's a strip show.

wickedest evening sessions

"Canalla" is usually an insult, akin to bastard or scumbag. However, in this context it means something along the lines of "offbeat/louche/naughty/sexy/wild/wicked/outré"...

"The wickedest evenings in the capital..."
Peer comment(s):

agree Toni Castano : Yes, same as "veladas más gamberras", for example.

Dope evening

Urban Dictionary:

A word used to describe just about anything good in life, good news, a sick skateboard trick, a nice sports car, etc. Also one of the most casual yet satisfying words in modern slang. It can be used to varying levels of intensity anywhere from a casual "dope" to a mega hype "that's freaking dope man!".
