Spanish term

los tutores han cumplimentado tres escalas de estimación

Spanish to English Social Sciences Education / Pedagogy Statistics/surveys
This is a translation of an evaluation of a training programme. The tutors were given an "escala de estimación" in each of the three terms of the training programme. Am a bit stuck with this one. Thanks for your help!

Hi everyone and thanks a lot for your help. I think I am going for "rating scale" in the end: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rating_scale as it is related to surveys/questionnaires. The tutors were "rating" the development of careers guidance workers, not being rated themselves. Thanks again as your answers helped me to come to what I hope is the best translation for the context!

the tutors/teachers have completed three assessment schemes

In education, an "escala de estimación" is a "mark scheme"; it contains rubrics which describe different levels of achievement in a particular area. I think in this case 'assessment scheme' would sound better than 'mark scheme' as you cannot really 'complete a mark scheme', it's just a guidance to grade work. That's why I think assessment scheme might work. Good luck!

agree neilmac : IMHO, "marking" works better than "mark", and it could be a marking assessment scheme (if the tutors are assessing the marking system, rather than undergoing some kind of evaluation themselves)

Thank you! You're right, "marking " sounds better but the generally used term in education is "mark scheme".

Tutors have been assessed through performance evaluation forms in each term

“escala de estimación” is a form used to assess performance (Please see Google Images). To me, that needs to be clear in the translation. There are various types of evaluation, so I am trying to avoid a loss here. From the context, it seems to be a form that is completed during a teacher/tutor evaluation.

I worked as a Teacher of English in Washington DC 2 years ago and I received several teacher evaluation forms after each observation.
