French term

saigneur

French to English Tech/Engineering Agriculture rubber industry / filière hévéa
Bonjour,
Comment appelle-t-on une personne qui saigne les arbres (en l'occurrence, les hévéas) ? En français, on dit un saigneur, mais je ne trouve pas le terme en anglais.
Merci d'avance

Hello,
How do you call someone you "cut" the rubber trees to make them bleed?
Thanks !

(rubber) tapper

I believe hevea is the family for trees such as the "hevea brasiliensis" (Brazilian Pará rubber tree). In which case, we're talking about a rubber tree.

And you tap it to collect the rubber, hence my answer. :)
