Please note: English legalese tends to be more direct than Portuguese. My writing professor at the University of Arizona used to say “trim the lard (in your writing)". By that he meant to get rid of unnecessary/superfluous wording.

: 'contract writing' is ambiguous, to say the least. Ironically, you should have got rid of the superfluous 'to' in your instructions on how to write English without superfluity. Did your professor explain the difference between the imperative/infinitive?
