Lara Barnett Jan 19, 2022:
@ flower11 It would also help to see what you are placing before and after this phrase yourself, because if this is a newspaper article the register and style of the narrative must flow accordingly - this is obviously more of a report rather than official legal phrasing.
For this reason I also think your kudoz field entries are incorrect.
philgoddard Jan 19, 2022:
Libertà condizionale is parole, but yes, we need some context. I've looked for the article, but it's not online.
Lara Barnett Jan 19, 2022:
@ flower11 Could you provide more context to the situation being reported?

conditional pardon

It's leniency release on licenc/se, as per Paul O'B., parole - courtesy of Phil G., remission of sentence - if reduced, pardon or release on licenc/se or condoning the crime(s). I'm going for the Canadian species :

'A conditional pardon - prior to eligibility under the CCRA is the release of an inmate from incarceration into the community, under supervision and subject to conditions, until the expiration of the sentence imposed by the court.'

First sentence again: 'It's possibly leniency *coupled with* release on licenc/se, as per Paul O'B., parole - courtesy of Phil G., remission of sentence - if reduced, a free - unconditional or conditional pardon or conditional condoning of the crime(s)...'.

Example sentence:

"libertà condizionale" it,la,mul > en,it Term it libertà condizionale release on licence

NSW, Oz: Other forms of early release .. include release on license, remission and pardon.

leniency shown, X out on probation

clemenza con libertà condizionale does not sound to me like a legal concept but journalistic writing. Without any more context, I take this sentence to mean that the court has shown leniency by letting X walk out on probation (I guess in the UK it would be a suspended sentence)
