...this agreement shall be immediately effective...

This is the kind of wording I'm familiar with.
Peer comment(s):

neutral David Hollywood : where do you get the "immediately" from?

I really don't understand your comment. That's what "ipso facto" means.
agree AllegroTrans : or "shall enter into immediate effect"; "ipso facto" means, effectively, "by the signing hereof" so I see no problem with "immediately" but maybe "thereupon" would be slightly better

agree Adrian MM. : ipso facto > en el acto vs. ipso iure /jure > automatically https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ipso_facto though 'the point is that' we need to know the force of es que (cf. así es que in Lat. Am.)

An ipso facto clause is a provision in a contract which allows one party to terminate or enforce other rights in relation to it if a counterparty experiences an insolvency event.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Giovanni Rengifo : It is clear to me that they're referring to effectiveness of the entire agreeement in general. It has nothing to do with "ipso facto" clauses.

disagree AllegroTrans : It simply means the agreement takes effect; "enforceable", even if implied, is not the word that you would see in a clause such as this
