podbicie podsypki

Transport / Transportation / Shipping

Do podbijania służy specjalna maszyna zwana podbijarką torową.
Po podbiciu toru nadmiar tłucznia usuwa się.

What is ballast packing?
Track ballast forms the trackbed upon which railroad ties (sleepers) are laid. It is packed between, below, and around the ties. It is used to bear the load from the railroad ties, to facilitate drainage of water, and also to keep down vegetation that might interfere with the track structure.

Effect of improper ballast packing/tamping on dynamic behaviors of on-track railway concrete sleeper - https://www.worldscientific.com/doi/abs/10.1142/S02194554070...
---
The traditional method of track maintenance was manual packing of ballast under the sleepers which involved packing 5-10 mm stone - http://www.claisse.info/page3.htm
---
Packing of Ballast
• Ballast is not packed throughout the length of the sleeper because load is concentrated under the rails.
• The sleeper is packed from each rail seat to the end of the sleeper and an equal distance in the inter-rail space.
• The packing under the rail seats should be done first and care should be taken not to strike the sleeper with the beater, while packing.

track ballast tamping
Track ballast forms the trackbed upon which railroad ties (sleepers) are laid. It is packed between, below, and around the ties.[1] It is used to bear the load from the railroad ties, to facilitate drainage of water, and also to keep down vegetation that might interfere with the track structure.[1] Ballast also holds the track in place as the trains roll over it. A variety of materials have been used as track ballast, including crushed stone, washed gravel, bank run (unwashed) gravel, torpedo gravel (a mixture of coarse sand and small gravel), slag, chats, coal cinders, sand,[2] and burnt clay.[3] The term "ballast" comes from a nautical term for the stones used to stabilize a ship.
