Spanish term

datos relativos de vencimiento

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Insurance Buildings insurance
This is from a letter to customers notifying them of changes to sums insured etc.

Aprovechamos para comunicarte los datos relativos de vencimiento, indicando los capitales actualizados de Edificación y Mobiliario de tu vivienda, para esta anualidad...

It is ambiguous to me. What do others think, please?
Thank you.

I'm thinking it is... I'm thinking it is: "details regarding your policy which is coming due for renewal"

relevant (policy) renewal particulars

The ambiguity may lie in the unexpected and semi-literate preposition following relativos (correspondientes) : *de* instead of *a* (relating to).

Details and particulars for datos are both usable for insurance as well as export and real estate (Particulars of the Property)..
Example sentence:

Define Renewal Details. means those principal terms of the Renewal Agreement

Policy Schedule means a schedule attached to these Terms and Benefits, which sets out, among others, the Policy Effective Date, Renewal Date, the name and the relevant particulars of the Policy Holder and the Insured Person...

agree philgoddard : You beat me to it, but I'm going to leave my answer. I think "relevant" is redundant, and "particulars" sounds old fashioned. It makes me think of Dixon of Dock Green writing in his notebook :-)

Thanks, Phil. I just knew - on spotting the word redundant - that it was you. Remember, though, the advice of a late Translation Studies Prof. & author: 'every word in the ST needs (to) be accounted for'. BTW, ambiguity is construed against the insurer.
agree AllegroTrans : "Relevant" is irrelevant but I am OK with Dixon of Dock Green; nothing whatever old-fashioned about "particulars" - in everyday use

Thanks, Chris, but - as mentioned to Phil and as per the late Prof. Peter Newmark - 'every ST word needs to be accounted for'. Otherwise, 4 decades of conveyancing particulars are hard to shrug off. PS insurance ambiguity is construed 'contra proferentem'

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks all. I've selected Adrian MM's answer because he confirms part of the ambiguity I had ("de" instead of "a") and that was helpful. However, I agree with others' comments that it should be "details" rather than "particulars" and that "relevant" is redundant. Much appreciate everyone's input and help!"

renewal details

And "capitales actualizados de Edificación y Mobiliario" is "updated building and contents cover/sums insured".

agree AllegroTrans : details=particulars=details=particulars // ah yes, the ghits trump the lawyers argument; HM Government likes "particulars" (as well as P.C. Dixon) https://www.gov.uk/employment-contracts-and-conditions/writt...

Thanks! But "renewal particulars" gets 1,600 hits, and "renewal details" 47,000. I think it's antiquated. Now stop disagreeing with me, or I'll have to take down your particulars.
agree neilmac : I got a reminder like this today from my car insurer....
