It's not rare to hear "tacler qq'n" nowadays in French tv/radio, maybe borrowed from American English.

: Highly unlikely in a production context. Just proving that the word is used in French doesn't mean it is used in a specific context. "Tacle" has been used in football for at least 30 years... / This is definitely a case of "Ask the client"!!!

The problem with you guys, is that you don’t 'experience' French on a daily basis. I asked around me and now young people has come-up with different uses for 'tacler'. You can search in on.line forums, you'll find "taclage'.

Ok I think I got the meaning. Block and tackle, briefly tackle is a seafaring term to mean a double pulley to hoist heavy loads. It was common in the ties when all work was done by men and it comes for the world of ships and maritime travel. Whate they mean here I guess is, "if the hydraulic jack is stuck, you need to hoist the pallet manually using cables and pulleys"

I just wanted to add, provided my guess is correct , which I'm not sure anyway, it needn't be lifting as a block and tackle could be used also to drag or tow a load horizontally. Just in case. I hope once you find out you let us know as I'm curious.

OK (it didn't mention belt stretching, but anyway) but why wouldn't lifting a pallet from a stuck conveyor be plausible? I don't say I'm 100% sure.

Language is continuously adapting and evolving, aren't you aware of all the anglicisms being used in everyday French? "tacler" is a word I hear almost everyday (on political discussions, yes, but it has permeated, that's for sure). I recommend you to see "Neuilly sa mère! (II)" and the scenes with the parody of Macron's campaign.
I don't see why the person in charge of the report wouldn't use "taclage" if that's what he/she saw in the conveyor belt. Cheers!
