The packing is a made of square-section braid consisting of
yarns of graphite, PTFE and Kevlar to stiffen the edges (corners).
It is generally supplied in coils by producers.
It must then be cut and customized to the requested length and pressed.
The market offers a wide range of packings of any type and size; yet it is not easy to procure a high quality, compact product that only state-of-the art braiding plants produce.
