English term

Sergeant-at-Arms

I would like to know the best translation of this phrase from American English into Latin American Spanish.

Colleagues from Spain, feel free to send me your suggestions as well. This is a translation of a public meeting about early care. Is okay to translate it as Oficial-de-Orden or oficial del orden?

Thanks for you help.

Here is the full paragraph for your review:

Sergeant-at-Arms shall:
(1) Assume all duties of the Chairperson in his/her absence
(2) Always maintain order during the PC meeting
(3) Attend the monthly Executive Committee meeting.

responsable del orden // macero

En este contexto, "responsable o encargado del orden" me parece preferible a "oficial".

También se puede mantener el sentido figurado con "macero":

macero, ra
1. m. y f. Persona que lleva la maza delante de las corporaciones o personas autorizadas que usan esta señal de dignidad.
