All is calm
Hi Simon,
Again, this another popular Christmas carol.
Lin means at peace, calm. It's a play on the word 'lin', so meaning that everything is calm and quiet, but the phrase doesn't have a direct translation.

A British equivalent could definitely be 'Silent Night'.

Thanks, so does "linu" mean "all"? I think the -i is the verb TO BE, isn't it? |

Discussion
So ''linu'' is a made-up word, it doesn't mean anything, it's a play on the adjective 'lin' which means calm. The - i is short for ''este'' which means 'to be', like you said. The correct phrase would be 'Linul este lin', but it's shortened to -i because that's how we speak it.
