Italian term

sensorialità

Italian to English Marketing Cosmetics, Beauty make-up
Hi everyone,

I frequently find the word sensoriale/sensorialità used in Italian cosmetics.
Here's an example:

Fondotinta in polvere compatta dalla sensorialità cremosa e vellutata si fonde con la pelle...

I am not a fan of the word sensorial to be honest, but clients, especially Italian ones, seem to love it for some reason.
Do you think this sounds right:

"Compact powdered fountain with a creamy and velvety sensorially melts onto skin..."

I think a similar meaning can be conveyed in English with the word Feel instead:
"Compact powdered foundation with a creamy and velvety feel melts onto skin..."

Looking forward to your comments.

Thanks!

in this case what about texture?
philgoddard Feb 2, 2023:
And "powdered".
A text like this needs to be done by a native speaker of English.
Fiona Grace Peterson Feb 2, 2023:
Melt "Melt" is wrong. As is "fountain".
jajetta (asker) Feb 2, 2023:
that's exactly what I believe as well. They are not in fact native English speakers, I will use FEEL, thanks for your input!
Lara Barnett Feb 2, 2023:
@ Jajetta But as I said, this is not a word that is often used. If your clients like it, they are probably not native English speakers.
jajetta (asker) Feb 2, 2023:
it was supposed to be SENSORIALITY, thanks!
Lara Barnett Feb 2, 2023:
@ Jajett So what was it supposed to be? It is not clear to me, I do not know this word.
jajetta (asker) Feb 2, 2023:
it was clearly a typo/autocorrect
Lara Barnett Feb 2, 2023:
Sensorial / Sensorially Why did you put "sensorially"? I have never seen this word, and given that you have used it after "With", it would need to be a noun, which it does not sound like even if it is a word.

Feel / Sensation

You should go for one of these, but I would choose "feel" above "sensation", which is often used for foods and taste.
Example sentence:

"Thanks to the revolutionary Second Skin Technology innovation, its unique formula leaves a VELVETY FEEL on the skin and offers matte appearance for 6 hours which softens the appearance of wrinkles. "

"The moisturizer itself has a calming, firming sensation on my face, while the facial cleanser has a very creamy SENSATION."

Note from asker:
I prefer FEEL too! thanks!
