butikken går rundt
I have to translate the sentence "Jeg driver et kommersielt selskap, jeg må sørge for at butikken går rundt".
Could this mean something like, "I need to advertise", or "I need to generate business"/"keep the business afloat"? I haven't seen this expression before, nor can I find it in any of my dictionaries.

Vinterberg & Bodelsen for the Danish 'equivalent' phrase, in the absence any Norwegian dictionary entry > 'make ends meet'.
Taken it back to German, the phrase is IMO cognate with 'über die Runden kommen'.
Butikken : the shop. I am unsure if this is idomatic for a business. (Compare 'la boîte' in French : bar, dive or racket.)
I'll leave others to post confidently - instead of diffidently and annoyingly in the discussion entries - any 'break-even' answer ('man tjener (akkurat) nok til å dekke daglige utgifter).
“Keep on truckin'” means to keep moving forward and making attempts to be successful. + A phrase of encouragement that one keep going or persisting with something,

Business viability means that a business is (or has the potential to be) successful. A viable business is profitable, which means it has more revenue coming in than it's spending on the costs of running the business.
If a business isn't viable, it's difficult to recover. The business would need to increase revenue, cut costs, or both. Viability is closely linked to profit as well as solvency and liquidity.
