FPC Mar 12, 2023:
It doesn't make sense to me and Tony spelled out why. I also have a diploma in electronics and, admittedly many years ago, spent three years learning about how circuits work.
Tony M Mar 12, 2023:
@ Daryo I think you are once again being unduly dismissive of other people's opinions here. I agree with FPC, this doesn't actually make proper technical sense as it stands.
Contrary to your allegations, I do understand how relays work, having worked for nearly 40 years in this field.

As the text stands, it would read "This component is present in the current" — a nonsensical statement. One might imagine it as making more sense if it were e.g. "present in the path of the current"

However, without leaping to assume such a major s/t error, it's easy to see that if it were simply a compounded typo for 'circuit', then it suddenly makes perfect sense:
"...and MOSFET chip in the load switching circuit." — NOW it makes proper technical sense!
Daryo Mar 12, 2023:
It makes sense if you take the trouble to learn how a relay works. But that takes time and requires some previous knowledge. That's the whole point of specialising - not spending hours or days studying the subject matter just to make sense of a short text.

BTW here is the description of the whole gadget

OMRON's MOS FET Relays lead the industry in optical semiconductor technology, utilizing an input LED, Photodiode
Dome Array (PDA) used as photocoupler and MOS FET chip in the load switching current.
In addition to being maintenance free, the MOS FET relay features high-speed operation and compact size, further
promoting the replacement of mechanical relays.
Omron is expanding its wide range of products, from the industry’s smallest class* new package (S-VSON/VSON) to
our high current, high dielectric strength, and high sensitivity models.

later:

Low drive currents
Realizing energy saving with standard driving current of 2-15mA. Ultrasensitive
models are also available featuring Drive Currents as low as 0.2mA (max).

neutral Tony M : I very strongly suspect there is a s/t error here, in which case this would not make sense.

I agree. It would make more sense to me in this sentence if it would be "pour la commutation du courant de la charge".

neutral Daryo : "courant de commutation" oui - mais pas convaincu pour "de la charge" - faux-ami
