Alas, the wording may be confusable esp. in a tax context with 'choice of tax domicile' (partly dependent on *animus manendi* - an intention to remain or move back to another country, for instance where the (non-)taxpayer 'dies domiciled', as opposed to 'determination of a tax residence' (186 + days in any year) and that might be in another country e.g. the former in the UK and the latter in Italy (or Austria) - a point seemingly lost on certain diplomats, like Consuls and Ambassadors, rather than on tax lawyers and accountants.

E non l'ho tradotto 'parola per parola' come suggerite e consigliate Signore!! In ogni caso meglio evitare la logica disperatamente contorta di cui sopra, a mio vedere.
