Marga Shaw Aug 3, 2023:
CPV I am neither a Bulgarian nor a Spanish speaker.
However I think that Lirka's translation of "CPV" as "Human Papilloma Virus (HPV)" makes sense.

Looking around a bit online, I found the following:
Човешки папиломен вирус (HPV) "на български "
Choveshki papilomen virus (HPV) "na bŭlgarski "

Examples:
EN:
Specific activities should focus on measles and rubella (2 ), seasonal influenza (3 ), HPV, tetanus and new vaccines against pneumococcal disease.

Bulgarian:
човешкия папилома вирус (HPV)

Конкретни действия следва да бъдат насочени към морбили и рубеола (2 ), сезонния грип (3 ), човешкия папилома вирус (HPV), тетанус и нови ваксини против пневмококови заболявания.

neutral philgoddard : Isn't that VPH, virus del papiloma humano?

Here is where my multilingual experience comes in handy. It is not a typo, but rather (I strongly suspect) a translation from a Slavic language into Spanish in the first place. C stands for "človeški" (= human)or similar in Slavic languages, so CPV.
neutral liz askew : indeed, VPH = virus del papiloma humano, though your answer does make sense in the context. Is it a typo then?

It is not a typo, but rather a retained original (Slavic) acronym that the original translator into Spanish likely left intact. I often see it happen. Who would bother researching acronyms for 3 cents a word? I understand them in a way.
agree Marga Shaw : This seems to be a reasonable translation. Please see my discussion entry above.

neutral philgoddard : I agree about the "Slavic translation", but I'm not sure this is very likely in the context either.

El único contexto aportado es el de una infección ginecológica pendiente de resultado de cultivo y "CPV". Se infiere, aunque no se señala, que la paciente está a tratamiento antibiótico (el cultivo sugiere sospecha de infección bacteriana, no vírica).
