I do not see anything to indicate that the poor lady in question was scared about anything, just prevented to make use of the sanitary facilities. I would use "scared shitless" as a translation of "cagarse de miedo", sure, but that does not seem to be the case here.

And for me, "crapped her/his pants" is a 'fixed phrase.' What i mean is, I would indeed say "crapped her pants" whether or not she was wearing pants.

If you want to make it even LESS offensive, you could say "she went in her pants" (in this case, "went" requires no object) You don't have to say "went pee" or "went poop." just, "she went" because as long as you add "in her pants," the meaning is understood.
