Alright @Toni, I’ll wait another week before selecting an answer
Toni Castano Oct 14, 2023:
@Nana Whatever the option you may choose in the end for your translation, you will be creating something new, as there is no rendering of this concept in Spanish, I believe. While I still keep on thinking on it, I think the safest option to go here is to opt for a literal translation.
Don´t close the query yet, please.

Whatever translation you use, I would also include the English term.

Informe de opciones sentenciadoras abiertas

Where it reads “all options report”, probably for the benefit of the economy of language, it should preferably read “all sentencing options report” with the meaning of a pre-sentence report in which the judging bench leaves all possible sentencing options open “to allow the court to pass any sentence” that is permitted by law (see please reference below). Then, at a later point, probably a second Bench, not necessarily the first one, will be passing sentence once the case is “ripe” for adjudication.

In other words, an “all options report” equals to a “pre-sentence report”. This is the way I interpret it.

All options’ and custody band reports
39. The request for an all options report is good sentencing practice and in line with the Senior Presiding Judge’s guidance to allow a two-stage sentencing approach. The Bench who request a pre-sentence report will probably not be the same who pass sentence as the case will be adjourned to a later date pending the preparation and delivery of the report. To leave all sentencing options open is to allow the court to pass any sentence the law allows. All options reports and custody band reports are the same. The probation service will look at all sentencing options, from discharge to custody.

An all-options report means that all sentencing options, including custody, may still be selected by the bench at the case’s next hearing.
