English term

"Hydrogen sulfide gas and Hydrocarbon gas С3‐С4 from Alkylation Unit

English to Russian Tech/Engineering Chemistry; Chem Sci/Eng
"Hydrogen sulfide gas and Hydrocarbon gas С3‐С4 from Alkylation Unit is sent to the WSA combustor respectively and spent sulfuric acid afterwards".

During alkylation operations, the sulfuric acid catalyst becomes contaminated and diluted with organic matter, water, and, to a lesser extent, with other impurities. As a result, the strength of the spent alkylation acid may drop to about 80-90% H2 SO4 versus a typical fresh acid strength of about 98% H2 SO4
...
A number of processes have been used to treat spent alkylation acid for reuse.

Another old method involves burning the spent acid, converting the SO2 so produced to SO3, and utilizing the SO3 to produce fresh sulfuric acid.

In a sulfuric acid (H2SO4) alky, significant volumes of the acid are used.
It is possible to install a WSA Process unit to regenerate the spent acid.
It is possible to combine spent acid regeneration with disposal of hydrogen sulfide by using the hydrogen sulfide as a fuel.
