I expect it's a bank statement which shows the financial increases in the account from the date the account was opened to the present time. It's unclear whether the amount has increased only because of interest on the savings or the account holder may have deposited additional credit finance to the account also. It's about a bank account in a foreign country. A pdf file showed an example of an initial deposit with an additional amount which was more than the initial amount.
evange tenreyro (asker) Dec 13, 2023:
My first idea was, in simple every day language, they wanted to know the "total amount" -original deposit + interest- (although it is stated in the document). After reading the proposed translations I am also a little confused. What I do know is that it only refers to cash.

Interesting query Two of the suggestions so far appear to have grasped the opposite ends of the stick, so to speak. I'll be interested to find out the answer.

Wearing my Argentinian gaucho hat, I think the info. being asked for is far wider than interest paid and/or recvd. on the a/c.

Example sentence:

We refer to net investment spending less depreciation collectively as “investment accruals,” so when comparing IBSI and FCF, the primary accruals are working capital and investment accruals.

Note from asker:
Thank you Adrian. After analyzing your answer I think it is the best for this context because it involves more than just interest.

interest

“Nótese al respecto que, de un capital adeudado de u$s 132.000, se desembocó en un monto total adeudado (por capital e intereses) de u$s 191.242,36 en un lapso apenas mayor a los tres años de mora, dado que el interés utilizado para liquidar la acreencia alcanza el 12% anual capitalizable trimestralmente. Ello es demostrativo de que en el particular caso que nos ocupa, la aplicación de esos acrecidos sobre un capital expresado en dólares estadounidenses resulta contraria a la moral, el orden público y las buenas costumbres;
