Nel passato recente, i riproduttori delle ovaiole venivano alimentati “a volontà”, mentre oggi la tecnica è mutata e prevede anche per questi riproduttori, così come per quelli da carne, un’alimentazione più ristretta, o per meglio dire, controllata, che prevede il fatto che il pollo consumi una quantità di mangime proporzionale al proprio fabbisogno nutritivo senza, quindi, eccedere. Ciò previene un eccessivo ingrassamento.

you are right, I should have specified that the references were just examples for egg layer, breeder is 100% the male
