German term

fahrdynamisch

German to English Tech/Engineering Automotive / Cars & Trucks Tyre pressure control systems
I know Fahrdynamik is dynamics of vehicle movement, but can anyone come up with a good adjective? e.g. fahrdynamische Daten/Parameter - "data/parameters relating to vehicle movement dynamics". Something snappier yet accurate would be appreciated!

\"In unserer Firma wird dieser Ausdruck immer umschrieben, z.B. \'\'in connection with driving dynamics\'\' oder aehnlich.

agree Craig Meulen : yes, and I have seen (and written) compound nouns far worse than "driving dynamics parameters"!! It's quite common to translate an adjective -noun with a compound noun like this.

thanks
agree Ulrike Kraemer : "Effects relating to driving dynamics" - just what I needed right now. Thanks! ;-)

driving dynamics

I know it still isn't as "snappy" as you'd like but it seems German car manufacturers come up with the inventions and phrase the German-engineered original which then get -awkwardly- translated into a mile-long expression that requires abbreviation. I've had the same experience translating the smart site into Dutch. Still, driving dynamics isn't that bad, once you've said it a few times.

(road) handling data/parameters

"Fahrdynamikregelung" can be translated as "road handling control", so maybe "(road) handling data" would work here? "handling characteristics" or "handling performance" seem to come up fairly often with reference to tyre pressure.

e.g. In order to evaluate the influence of inflation pressure on response and handling, The Tire Rack conducted a Performance Test Track Drive, comparing properly inflated tires to purposely underinflated tires

"This maximizes cornering force and grip without sacrificing any other handling parameters"

I think I would definitely lose the \"road\".
