English to Dutch translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Textiles / Clothing / Fashion / in a patent /textile for packaging/transporting/storing items
English term or phrase: scrim
I am working on a patent application, from (US) English into (BE) Dutch about a textile for packaging/transporting/storing items. I'm puzzling over what to do with the English term "scrim". I have sometimes seen it left in English, such as:

scrim = scrim
scrim layer = scrimlaag
etc.

Or, try to come up with a correct Dutch term, such as:
• gaasdoek
• vezelvlies
• mazenweefsel
• los geweven katoen/linnen
etc.

Any suggestions would be very welcome!

"“Scrim” as used herein refers to a very open fabric, such as a netting, used as a support or a backing."
